DXSORB®1009 is a hydroxyphenyl triazine ultraviolet absorber that performs well in coatings and film applications. It has extremely high extinction coefficient, high light stability, long service life, excellent thermal stability and performance, suitable for coatings that experience high baking cycles and/or extreme environmental conditions. It can also be used in amine and/or metal catalyzed coating systems, or in coatings applied to primers containing such catalysts. Recommended for automotive OEM and repair paint systems, UV curing coatings, and industrial coatings.

DXSORB®1009 can be used with DXSORB®400. The combination can further expand the spectral coverage range.
